Waterworks
It was again another lovely day and having met @suzehu et al on site, we wandered round enjoying the bright and still conditions. I generally try and avoid weekends, because this is the time when people emerge from their appointed 'nine to five' weekly activities, and frankly, I don't want to see people.
But it was nice, not busy, and quite a rewarding morning, which all told, amounted to the following;
The highlight was a showy Peregrine that flew up high onto the Waterworks pylon, luxuriating in the riches of the morning light, looking as if it had already dispatched an early meal.
There were now four Wigeon on Bed 18 with an impressive count of 23 Gadwall there. Two Shoveler roosted on Bed 13.
An early Common Buzzard flew low over suggesting that it may have roosted nearby, but passage movement was negligible with a total of six Meadow Pipit, single Siskin, a Redpoll that flew low through, six Chiffchaff, and two Goldcrest. A Cetti's Warbler called nearby.
